I was just talking to one of my girlfriends and I told her that several times lately my men friends have asked me why a woman doesn't text them back when they've made plans to go do something (and each time my man friend thought things were going well). My girlfriend said that if a man doesn't think enough of her to call her on the phone and ask her out which is a sign of respect in her mind, then she doesn't bother texting back.
