During coffee I told Frank about the Interesting SHEnglish Translation (that was Gillian's take on asking a woman out in a text message). Frank said he Agee's with Gillian. If a man and woman have been texting, talking and seem to hit off when it comes time to go out in a real date it's proper to call rather than text. Frank thinks it's a sign if respect. So next time one of my men friends asks me why a woman didn't text him back when he asked if she wanted to meet up for a drink, I know what to say. "You should call (not text). Take the time to call. If she doesn't answer leave a message and make it clear that you want to see her. If she returns your call, she's interested and if she doesn't then she doesn't want to meet up and she's not interested or met someone else already."
