Alone again

No house guests now. I am home alone. I am so tired. We had a great weekend. 

Happy

I was so happy that my friends from Oklahoma had the opportunity to meet June yesterday. June is my heroine. She is one of my joys at work. There have been some wonderful things about moving here and June is one of them. She is a genuinely lovely person and a great workout partner. She keeps me motivated and I do the same for her. She has mentioned me doing the MS 150 but I have only ridden my bike five times so there is no way I am up for that. I can't believe I have ridden 40 and 50 miles. And when we road 50 miles I had to take a nap for eight hours and 54 minutes. It was rough. That day the wind was brutal.

Best weekend

I had so much fun with my friends here for the weekend. We went more places over this weekend than I go in six months. They even joined June and me at the Gator Ride, where we were volunteering, for a bit. I hope June and I get to ride next year. The last two years we have volunteered. Having visitors made Seabrook seem like home. I've had lots of company for the last five months and it is so much better than Corpus no one ever wanted to come there.

Competition

There's a Virgin Pulse walking/competition at work (steps are counted) and it has really brought out the worst in some people. There's a woman who seems fairly petty and unpleasant in general but she has really gone overboard during this event and she's not the only one. Folks are accusing others of cheating, etc. The ridiculous thing is that no one really wins anything. Points are awarded which help with your insurance cost with our employer but it's rather Big Brothery to monitor employees movements and track their activities for insurance purposes to begin with. The whole point was to get people moving but in some cases it seems like it's mostly their mouths moving and they're not saying nice things. They need to move their feet more and their tongues/mouths less.

June's opinion

I asked June what she thought of guys writing me on the dating website and copying from their profiles and pasting the content in email messages to me and I told her that one of the men accidentally left a message from another woman in an email to me-he had simply inserted my name rather than hers at the beginning of the message-an June thought it was very insincere. If a guy writes to me I don't copy and paste my profile to him. And I have not sent one man a correspondence and then copied it to then paste it into another correspondence to a different man. It really makes me question how sincere many of these men are. It has happened to me a lot of times. I hope it's just insecurity rather than insincerity. 

Goal

I have decided to start doing yoga in the morning again. if I don't it seems I never can fit it in as I am always doing other workouts at lunch or too late to do yoga at the gym. I did the Jillian Michaels' video and then did a 1 mile walk video of Leslie Sasone's. I have to start getting some lb's off so I can wear my own clothes again rather than going to Good Will Select to buy other people's clothes because mine won't fit or scurrying off to the mall in hopes of a sale because I can get my ass in my pants and it's not all muscle though some must be. I am glad that I feel stronger and a bit firmer but I'd like to work on becoming firm and in great shape rather than a little squishy. It's not just girl fat as the last guy I went out with called it.

Tough

Body Pump was really tough tonight. I haven't been able to go enough lately because I have been busy with work and riding my bike...Life sucked a couple of hours ago when I had my arse handed to me.

Sunday morning

It's so nice to enjoy the weekend and do whatever I want. I feel great this morning but I was super tired yesterday after I road my bike. My legs weren't bad but my neck hurt. I am trying to work on which way to hold my hands on the handle bars so my neck doesn't hurt but haven't found the sweet spot. I am hoping I do. 

50 miles

I made it. I can't believe I managed to ride 50 miles on my bike. This time the City Manager joined Ron, June and me. It was tough today; the wind was ridiculous. 

Daybreak

In a bit I am off to ride my bike. We have planned a 50 mile ride. It's going to be a challenge for me.

Finally Friday

Every Monday, Friday seems illusive by Wednesday, I'm starting to worry about how much I will get done and on Thursday, I waffle between panic and malaise because I can't get everything done, then there's Friday; just 12 hours until the weekend begins. And tomorrow, at this time, I will be getting ready for a long bike ride. June needs to ride at least 50 miles.

Back on the dating sites

I have been on Match but haven't seen anyone of interest and I activated my OKCupid profile. Several men have written me who looked okay. A couple of them write these long letters and may be romantic who knows but it's very funny that one of them has accidentally sent me a copied and pasted message that had another woman's name on it and then he accidentally sent me an email that had an email from another woman to him. He lied about why he used the wrong name stating that that was his dead wife's name (like that would be okay). He could have just told the truth and said he is on Match to look for a woman and he has just started the search so he has to communicate with different women to see if any are good matches. I figure if some guy is writing me he is probably writing other women too. I remember the one time I met someone on OKCupid who seemed interesting he was on OKCupid a lot and I'm sure he wasn't writing me the whole time he probably just copied and pasted like the other guy but he was smart enough to edit the other woman's name out of the email, at least.

Another guy said his name is Richard but when he referred to himself in the third person in a long-winded email he called himself "David". I wonder if women lie to men or give fake names. I know people try to make themselves sound good, of course.

One guy who may be ok hasn't gone on and on about himself or sent me a letter written and meant for someone else.

I don't know if I will go on a date or anything but maybe.

Another week begins

It's Monday. I am up and ready for a brief walk before getting ready for work. Nathan was gone last week so it was hectic. Hopefully, this week will be better. However; I'm a little doubtful. I am trying create a bubble to stay in.

Valentine's Day

Instead of watching Wedding Singer my S.O.P. on Valentine's Day, I watched Train Wreck which I rented at Walgreens and I really thought it was funny. I liked it. It was definitely a little over the top but it was still good. I also rented The Martian and I am going to watch it. I read the book and i liked it so I hope I like the movie. I'm doing laundry which I love to do as far as chores go because it is so easy in America, really you throw it in the machine and the machine does the work. Vivi moved out yesterday not that she lived here but she's not my house guest any more. She found a room up by her job so she won't have to drive two hours to work. I'm so glad for her. Hopefully, I'll get to see her soon. She went for a bike ride with June, Ron and me before she headed up north. She and Ron rode about 20 miles with us. It was Vivi first time to ride that far. She said she felt pretty good this morning and like she accomplished something. i hope we all go next weekend. I know June needs to get some seat time since she's still training for the MS 150. I am going to keep riding with her being as supportive as I can. June's husband is really supportive of her too. He's a good husband. They are supportive of each other and have a good marriage. It's nice to see a healthy marriage.

Kudos tighty whities

Finally after many long years I have something good to say about tidy whities because today I found out why its not so good for guys to wear boxers sometimes. While we were out riding our bicycles this morning, we happened upon a guy covered in mud his pants were halfway down his legs. And of all things he had on boxers and his penis was poking out the front. He said he had fallen in the bayou and someone had just helping get out. & I thought well okay now I know why tighty whiteys are good and some circumstances. I always thought boxers were really cute and thought a guy looks good in boxers but now I think maybe I'm going to have to take that one back or at least rethink it. I guess like I couldn't read my t shirt because it said I don't want to know anything about your penis or see your penis and less you're someone I think I might marry.

Blew it

I bought valentine's cards early (like last October or November) and had it all worked out in my head how I would get them signed and take them to work for everyone. Since I've been trying to get organized-hiding things from myself-I cleaned and could not find the cards. I felt like one of those people who never get it right today. I told a couple that they'll get their cards Monday or if I can't find the cards this weekend, next year.

P90X

I did palates for the first time today with one of my workout buddies at work. She picked the P90X video. I think that's what it was. Since I've never done palates before maybe I should have tried normal palates rather than some kind of extreme version but I got through it. WE walked a mile after that so it was a balanced workout. It was a nice way to spend lunch. Unfortunately, I went to give blood and my iron was still a little low so I couldn't donate but I will be able to donate next time. After work when we went to the Council meeting it was the shortest one since I started this job. I was home by 7:30. And now, I am watching the continuation of How To Get Away With Murder. I hope it's good.

Hump day

More than halfway through the week. Yay!!! Almost the weekend. I will be super happy. WE will going on a ride this Saturday.

Another Monday

is almost gone. It was a great day. i felt like I accomplished a few things. That's always a good feeling.

Surprise

I saw an ad for Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (PPZ). I think it starts in theaters tomorrow. I read the book and it was pretty silly. I like to re-read Pride & Prejudice intermittently and other books like it. I kind of felt like reading PPZ was a bit of a waste of my time.

Binged

I watched all episodes of Better Call Saul because I was immediately hooked. 

Stayed home

I have a sore throat so I didn't go to work. I went to the clinic and was told it's my sinuses. The big ugly lady gave me a prescription for steroids. We'll see how it goes. I'm not usually sick now that I take L Lysine. Since I started taking L Lysine I can eat anything I want with no problems. Life is good.
