The last guy I went on a few dates with talked about his ex-wife way too much for someone who was over her and one of my friends complains about his wife all the time. I don't think that men realize when they say their ex-wives/wives treat/ed them badly, their ex-wives/wives wouldn't/won't work, emasculated/emasculate them, etc. that it just makes them lose respect in a potential mate's eyes. It is so hard to have respect for a man who can't manage to man up. If a man can't manage to stand up for himself how can he expect anyone to have any respect for him. "Have a little self-respect for goodness sake!"
